Our First Open House Was a Huge Success!

Hongik Eco Farm’s First Open House

We are so excited to share that on August 23 we hosted our very first Open House!  Given that our farm is brand new and this is our first growing season, one of our goals is to get the word out there and let people know that we are HERE! 

Our Open House was a great way to meet some of our amazing neighbors and share our vision and mission with all those who attended.  We had a great turnout and everyone that came shared how impressed they were with how much we have accomplished in such a short amount of time. 

Everyone left uplifted and inspired! 

Some fun activities included:

• No Till Garden Demos
• Tai Chi in the Forest
• Farm Yoga
• Seedling Planting
• Face Painting
• Eco Farm Tours
• Produce Stand
• Live Music and
• Renditions of Future Projects (Greenhouse, Barn, Food Forest, etc). 

We even had a very informative children activity where children were given a sheet with different animals and insects and they had to wander the farm to find the QR oodes for each animal/insect.  After scanning the code, there was a description of that animal/insect and the children had to determine if the animal/insect was a friend to the farm or a “frenimy”!!!!!
