Hongik Eco Farm July 2025 Harvest Update

This is our first growing season and all the vegetables we planted on the farm are EXPLODING with produce!  Thanks to our farmer, Eric, we have fully implemented a no-till practice on the farm.  This is part of our mission to create a farm that utilizes regenerative farming practices.  Everything we have planted is loving this farming technique.

The soil is so rich and fertile all the plants are flourishing!  It is a thing of beauty! 

AND as our mission states, all our produce is donated to local food banks to help families with food insecurity.  So far, we have partnered with the Harvard Food Pantry.  Our farm is helping over 100 families get organic delicious produce. It has been extremely rewarding to see the smiling faces at the food pantry every Tuesday when we deliver the freshly harvested produce. 

So far this summer, we have donated 965 items of produce which includes zucchini, cucumbers, cabbage, swiss chard, kale, lettuce, and over 5 variety of peppers!

If you are interested in volunteering to help us harvest, come on by the farm on Tueday’s between 7:00-9:00 am.
