Upcoming Event: October 24 Fall Clean Up

Fall Clean Up: October 24 from 8am – 12pm

Join us at Hongik Eco Farm for a hands-on workday as we put our growing areas to bed for the winter and prepare to expand for next season.

This is a great opportunity to learn by doing while helping care for the farm.

Together, we’ll work on:

~ Building no-till garden beds using cardboard and compost

~ Preparing existing growing areas for winter and protecting the soil for the season ahead

~ Learning back-saving techniques for winter bed preparation and other farm tasks

~ Removing T-posts and learning safer, easier techniques for getting them out of the ground

~ Expanding growing space so we can grow even more next season

No previous farming or gardening experience is necessary. Come ready to get your hands dirty, learn some useful skills, and help Hongik Eco Farm get ready for another growing season!

What to Bring: Work gloves, clothes that can get dirty, sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots, water, A snack. Dress for the weather and be prepared for hands-on outdoor work.
