July Highlights

1600 Vegetables!!!!!
At a time when more families are turning to food pantries for help, we’re proud to share that Hongik has just donated our 1,600th vegetable of 2026. That total includes over 800 heads of lettuce, and 800 bunches of cilantro, radishes, and turnips, beets and carrots grown right here in our garden.
We’re grateful to be able to contribute, even as we wish the need weren’t growing. Every harvest reminds us both of the abundance that a community can create together and of the importance of making fresh, healthy food accessible to everyone.
The good news is that we have a lot more growing in the ground. The challenge is that we need more hands to help us weed, harvest, wash, and deliver it. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, we’re already ahead of where we were at this time last year. In fact, our first harvest in 2025 didn’t happen until July 1. This season is off to a much stronger start.
Our goal for 2026 is ambitious: to double last year’s harvest and provide even more fresh produce to our neighbors in need.
If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, this is a great time to join us. Whether you can volunteer regularly or just lend a hand occasionally, your help can make a real difference.

Together, we can grow more food, serve more families, and build a stronger community—one harvest at a time.
